  • Parkland Hospital

    With more than 141,000 square feet of space devoted to imaging, Parkland Hospital has over 550,000 radiology examinations per year, providing ample exposure to various medical conditions for trainees.
    The Parkland facility includes four Siemens Skyra MRI 3.0T scanners, one of which is housed within the NICU and dedicated exclusively to neonates.
    The hospital has seven CT scanners: two in the emergency department, four in the inpatient service, and one scanner in the Neuro ICU
    Parkland has the busiest emergency department in the country, and the Rees-Jones Trauma Center is one of the best in the nation. Four of the ten trauma/resuscitation rooms in the Rees-Jones Trauma Center at Parkland are equipped with built-in X-ray systems, allowing patients to have X-rays performed in the same room where urgent care is being provided.

  • Clements University Hospital

    Clements University Hospital (CUH) is the #1 hospital in Texas (*tie) and among the top 20 in the nation. CUH offers a wide range of imaging technologies, from general imaging to specialized services, including:
    * Intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) system, in a hybrid operating room
    * Additional MRI scanners, including Philips 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla (3T) systems
    * High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) imaging
    * Additional ultrasound/elastography capabilities, in four rooms, including Epiq 7, Vasculab (ABI machine), and GE Logiq E-9
    * Four SPECT/CT scanners, using the Siemens Symbia Intevo
    * Three neuro interventional suites
    * Twelve cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and interventional imaging suites
    * Two hybrid cardiac operating and imaging suites
    * Two Gamma Knife suites

  • Children’s Medical Center

    CMC in Dallas is a 487-bed, Level 1 pediatric trauma center and home to one of the busiest pediatric emergency departments in the nation. All imaging modalities are available. CMC has six whole-body MRI units, two of which are 3T and four are 1.5T.

  • UT Southwestern Medical Center's Outpatient Facilities

    Clements Advanced Medical Imaging Center:
    The Bill and Rita Clements Advanced Medical Imaging Building is home to the Mary Nell and Ralph B. Rogers Magnetic Resonance Center, the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Imaging Facility, and the Advanced Imaging Research Center.
    The Mary Nell and Ralph B. Rogers Magnetic Resonance Center is equipped with some of the latest technology available, including three state-of-the-art magnets:
    Siemens Sola 1.5, Philips Ingenia 3T, and Siemens Vida 3T
    These high-field magnets are able to accommodate all types of scans and patients. This facility can also accommodate claustrophobic patients in one of our wide-bore MRI scanners.
    The magnets are equipped with a full array of RF coils, including the new digital coil technology to cover the widest range of clinical applications.
    The Rogers Center also offers Advanced Cardiac MRI, Spectroscopy of the brain, MR angiography, MR neurography, and Multiparametric MRI of the prostate.
    The building also houses the only magnetoencephalography (MEG) scanner in Dallas, a state-of-the-art technology that maps brain function.

    Parkland Health and Hospital System has a number of outpatient facilities, two of which are within walking distance from the main hospital. Radiology residents will have some rotations in these facilities:
